Jay Chittooran

Director of Services and Digital Trade

Jay Chittooran is the Director of Services and Digital Trade at the Coalition of Services Industries (CSI). At CSI, he leads efforts to provide compelling data-driven analysis on critical areas in trade, including on digital trade. He previously served as a policy advisor at Third Way, where his portfolio included trade as well as energy commodity policy. Chittooran also worked in positions focused on trade and energy economics at the Council on Foreign Relations, Google Jigsaw and West Point. He also recently served as a policy advisor and speechwriter to Ray Kelly, the former commissioner of the New York City Police Department. His research has appeared or been cited in the Washington Post, The Hill, Politico, Roll Call, Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Houston Chronicle, and Time, among other publications, and he has briefed government officials, media outlets, and other interested parties. He holds an M.A. from Seton Hall University and a B.A. from Loyola University Chicago.
